Oct. 12- In the Water

Body weight crushed our lungs
the first time we chased food
out of water, but we kept trying;

Fresh air strengthened and fortified
our bodies, stronger bones, senses
awakening;

We were everywhere on the Planet
where water met land;

Numbering in the Billions, Flourished
In Massive Packs

Developed community through
Safety in Numbers,

Staying Clean, Watched Over
Each other While We Slept,

Began to associate warning
sounds with subsequent events;

Scurried Down Hastily dug
Burrows when Under attack;

Spewed Eggs Everywhere
While Still in amphibian Stage

Spewed Babies Everywhere,
Became MAMMALS

After Splitting Off At the Rib,
Shell Dissipates Into Hair,

Communities Of Burrow
Turned Den-Dwelling
Rodent-Type Martin/Fisher,

Wolverine/Mountain Lion/Fossa Stage
Always Growing , Needing Bigger Dens...

To Be Continued...
